Come and stay in our brand new YHA backpacker hostel in beautiful Yamba, a laid back town on the tropical north coast of NSW Australia. Close to the legendary Angourie Surfing Reserve as well as several other pristine surfing beaches, national parks, award winning resturants plus everything you would expect from a beach town and more. Yamba is a unique holiday and lifestyle experience for any age and now features one of the best Backpacker Hostels on the East Coast, The Yamba YHA Backpacker Beach Resort.
Explore the myriad of waterways, stroll the uncrowded beaches (there are 16 beaches surrounding Yamba and Angourie, seven within walking distance from Yamba YHA), go swimming, fishing, surfing, kite surfing (your hosts are kite-surfers!!!) or check out the Yuragir National Park, but most of all discover Yamba’s friendly hospitality all year round.
Yamba is situated at the mouth of the Clarence River, which is the biggest river on the east coast of Australia. Yamba has access to all services and is within easy reach of major regional centres and capital cities.
During the Winter Yamba is much quieter than during the peak summer months and there are an endless succession of sunny, windless days to enjoy river, beach and sporting activities. You can swim in the ocean in Yamba all year round, and in fact the water is often warmer in July than it is in February due to a warm current finding its way down the coast at that time.
There is but a single word for Yamba's climate - perfection. Situated in Tropical Northern NSW, Yamba has been declared by the CSIRO on the world map as having one of the most ideal climates to work, live or play.
Here in Yamba there is never a wrong time of the year to visit.
